There’s a lot of information out there and it can seem a bit overwhelming if you’ve only just started exploring a career in the trades. We’ve saved you some time and googling by gathering some links for some of the things we think you might want to know at this stage.

- The government is currently providing vocational education and training without fees until December 2022 by providing grants to employers who take on apprentices.
- BCITO offers a range of scholarships as well as a tools grant.
- Feesfree.govt.nz has one year’s study or two year’s training fees-free for eligible students.
- Work and Income run the Mana for Mahi programme allowing you to earn while you learn and gain recognised qualifications.
